My journey has been lead by curiosity around energy, attraction, connection and how to harness and manage energy within the human body. My research began at a young age reading books on aura's, chakras, meridians and it wasn't till I had my first Reiki session with Al Cochrane, who eventually became my master teacher. I had no expectations of my first reiki session. I was very interested to see how another person can support calm, balance and realign the energy systems. During that session, I released stored emotions, felt heat and cold run through my body and felt calm and peaceful at the end. This lead me to learn more and become a Reiki Master today. Reiki gives you different insight, perspective and deeper sense of connection to your self and spirit. Each session is different, some clients experience profound shifts and emotional release and others feel a pure sense of calm, safety and nurtured.
It is pure joy for me to offer Reiki and provide intuitive healing insights that arise during each session and to be part of your your healing and health journey!
Reiki is a safe, natural energy technique that promotes the harmonious distribution of energy through the auric and physical energy fields of the body.
Reiki was discovered by Dr. Usui in Japan during the 1920s.
"Reiki" is a Japanese word that translates: Rei - Life Force and Ki - energy "universal life force energy".
How does Reiki work? The Reiki practitioner is the conduit between the patient and the source of the universal life force energy; the energy flows through the practitioner’s energy field and through her hands to the patient. (The energy does not come from the continued practitioner; rather it comes through the practitioner from the universal source. There is no energy drain on the practitioner.)
The patient experiences the energy as sensations such as heat, tingling or pulsing where the practitioner has placed her hands. Sometimes, the sensations are felt moving through the body; some people do not perceive any change at all. Most people feel very relaxed and peaceful, and many fall asleep during the treatment.
What are the Benefits?
According to the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, people use Reiki for relaxation, stress reduction and symptom relief, in efforts to improve overall health and well-being. A Reiki treatment may do the following:
bring about a peaceful, deep state of relaxation
dissolve energy blockages and tension
detoxify the body
support the well-being of a person receiving traditional medical treatments that are debilitating (e.g., chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, kidney dialysis)
supply universal life force energy to the body
stimulate the body’s immune system
help to relieve pain
stimulate tissue and bone healing after injury or surgery
increase the vibrational frequency on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels
