Release your inner yogi!

Yoga is more than a pose, it is a way of life. My approach is to blend the therapeutic, physiological & energetic benefits that support total health and spiritual well-being. I am committed to share the practice of yoga as a lifestyle. I provide a safe, inviting space to be present with yourself, inquire, learn, practice and reflect and to arm you with ancient "human" practices to bring into your daily life.

I believe we all hold the answers within. Many of us find yoga later in our lives when we have reached our limit and seek something more. The key is to become aware of the signs and  identify the root cause before the stressor becomes unhealthy decisions, patterns or dis-ease.

In 2010, I experienced a panic attack and spent several days in the hospital.  This experience lead me to a therapist who told me, simply, "you need to breathe". I learned how to breathe with awareness. Through practice I began to feel at ease. This simple practice lead me to yoga, meditation and inspired me to teach. I created sustainable habits of breathwork, meditation, mantras which transformed my attitude towards work and relationships into contentment, abundance and joy and is my mission to share how with you. The majority of my professional sales career I spent on the road and had the opportunity to practice and study at yoga studios around the world.  I became well versed in all facets of yoga and other healing modalities. I settled in with "classical yoga lineage" from the Yogalife Institute in Wayne , PA.

Emmanuelle Clouser

Emmanuelle has been practicing yoga since 2011 and she is passionate about learning and connecting with people. Her interest in physical activity developed at a young age when she started swimming at a competitive level. Later, she studied physical and health education at McGill University in Montreal Canada where she was also part of the swim team. She found yoga during her college years as a way to slow down and connects with her body; she has been hooked ever since. In January 2016, she traveled to Nicaragua to participate in a 500 hours teacher training. This was a life changing adventure that strengthened her desire to share the practice with others. Since then, she also attended a vinyasa flow training, a sequencing training and became a certified Reiki Master. This past year she traveled across North America and taught yoga from coast to coast. She is happy to land here, in Ocean City and to share her passion and spend time on the beach!

Andrea Elizabeth

Andrea completed her 200HR-RYT with Lindsay Lusignea at red lila yoga in Baltimore, MD in 2017. She is also a member of Yoga Alliance and a Reiki Master Level Practitioner. With a background in Radiology, Andrea's knowledge of Anatomy allows for an intuitive interpretation of asana focusing on alignment and adaptability. As an early student of dance, she uses the body for expression of self, and as a lifestyle through cross country running, weight training and HIIT Fitness Camps she co-coached in Wilmington, DE.  She attended her first yoga class during pregnancy in 2010. For Andrea, the connection of the mind and body through linking breath with movement allowed her always busy mind to finally settle, forming a moving meditation. She enjoys combining Reiki with private yoga instruction to help promote balance and healing within the self. She invites you to make her aware of any concerns before class so she can help you achieve your best personal practice in a safe environment.

Mindy Sungenis

My yoga journey began when I took my first yoga class twenty years ago, with my dear friend, Carol. The practice of yoga has enhanced every aspect of my life whether in my role as a wife, mother, grandmother or corporate CEO. The desire to share the benefits of yoga with others, led me to become certified in Anusara Yoga in 2012. I have a deep love for teaching and practicing alignment based Hatha Yoga and Meditation. I am inspired by the teachings of Michelle Synnestvedt, Darren Rhodes and Carol Kowalewski, who introduced me to yoga two decades ago.  My classes are designed for all levels of practice and are infused with fun and heart opening humor.

Yoga is a gift that continues to unfold for me in new ways, which led me to complete my Level I Reiki Certification, 100 hours of Advanced Teacher Training, numerous Yoga immersions, Yoga Therapeutics and Yoga Scripture Studies.

Gail Wathen

M.S., E-RYT 500. Gail has been teaching in the fitness industry since 1986. In 2000, she began to explore a gentler approach to fitness that incorporated all aspects of her being; body, mind, and spirit. This exploration led her to become certified in Pilates instruction and embark on a 200-hour yoga training program through the Nosara Institute in Costa Rica. As she continued her teaching, she saw the need for a different approach to healing, particularly those who had a cancer diagnosis or chronic illness. Gail found the YCat program which specialized in yoga for those with cancer and /or chronic illness. Gail is a speaker on holistic health and lectures at the St. Mary’s County Department of Aging. She completed her Masters in Holistic Nutrition with a certificate in Herbal Studies and plans to incorporate all of these holistic modalities into her practice. While all of this keeps her busy, her favorite role is that of GiGi to 3 beautiful grandchildren!

Dana Devore

Dana began practicing yoga in high school as a way to unwind but truly fell in love with the practice during college. She primarily practices ashtanga but got her RYT-200 in 2015 with Yoga Works. Dana feels yoga is a great tool to learn and appreciate one’s body and that anyone can benefit from the multiple dimensions of yoga. When not doing yoga, Dana loves to be outside doing nearly anything but primarily hiking, gardening, or running.
